An old boat siren I came across preparing my grandfathers estate for auction.
I have been told this siren is close to 70 years old, and operates on 6 volts.
I have no idea who made it, as the motor housing is long gone.
Its pretty worn out too, you can hear the bearings clatter.
Still makes a lot of noise.

  • FIRST COMMENT IN THE PAST 2 YEARS!!!!!!!!!! O_O By the way, nice siren dude.....May I buy it??

  • @misterwhelen4004 , Sorry, but it's staying in the family. I was told that it was on my great uncles Kris Kraft boat.

  • @ElPhantasamo Okat. Then do you have any other signaling devices i could buy?? Write back.

  • @misterwhelen4004 No I don't, but you can get some schematics from the federal signal web site and build a clone of A PA300.

  • Thats a 40s or 50s police siren. Not sure why it was on a boat, but its still pretty sweet. As for the company... good luck. Up until the 80s there were so many emergency automotive equipment companys around. It could be a Federal Signal or a Dietz.
