A short documentary I produced on Blues Rock Musician Rory Gallagher. More info on the production including people interview and why can be found at my blog: http://mattclient.blogspot.com

Taken from Wikipedia: "Rory Gallagher (2 March, 1948 - 14 June, 1995 pronounced /ˈrɔri ˈɡæləhər/) was an Irish blues-rock musician who rose to fame as a talented songwriter, guitarist, and bandleader. Born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal, Ireland, and raised in Cork City, Gallagher is remembered for his solo albums throughout the 1970's and 1980's, and for his tenure in the band Taste during the late 1960s. A multi-instrumentalist who gained a reputation as a gifted and charismatic live performer, Rory Gallagher's albums have sold in excess of 30 million copies worldwide.[1][2] His songwriting, guitar prowess and showmanship on stage arguably brought him his largest audiences, left a strong impact on other musicians, both then and now, and fans who still honour him to date. He died of an infection sustained after a nearly successful organ transplant in London, England at the age of 47."

  • @screenpuller I think it's a combination of his sweat and the nitro finish. The nitro comes off really easy anyway.

  • he was so beautiful

  • @daviddara333... Even old strats still had a nitro finish, woulda taken more than a few days outdoors. I checked on it, but can't for the life of me remember what his condition was called. :)

  • @screenpuller haha ar ye serios? and i taught it was because it was thrown in a bush for a few days which destroed the paint job and then further wear from playing it?

  • thanks for making that bud . what a legend

  • I've heard that Rory had a rare blood condition that made his sweat highly acidic, thus contributing to his strat's "no-burst" finish. If anyone can confirm or deny this, i'd live to hear from you!

  • Thank you for making this. I would love to see and hear more of it.

  • @SuperModwolf Couldn't agree more mate! But be warned, if you get to his grave you won't want to leave, at least i didn't.

  • Thanks for making this great documentary about the greatest guitarist that ever graced the stage R.I.P. hope to make it to Ireland to pay my respects

  • man I miss this guy
