On the 31st of July, Little Flower School had election day. Elected were a sports minister, a minister of discipline, a health minister, news minister, minister for education and a minister for culture. The process took place around 4 months ago and the winners have yet to deliver on their promises. The main focus, however was rather on the election process and teaching the children about it. To make it more realistic, we handcrafted VOTE and BOOTH boxes which were guarded by two security guards (whose feet and knees hurt at the end of the day from so much standing). Four of our hostel children were among the elected.
