Live version of this excellent Funky track. More aggressive than the "Live in the Air age version and has a nice jazz tinged ending. track is cut a bit to fit on you tube. Recorded at the famed old Leroy Theater in RI which has since been demolished to make way for a strip mall.

  • Very few can be put in the same class as Bill, let alone be called better!

  • @charlesremschel7: No green stars, except me, and I am distant ;>)

  • @GreenDistantStar and how does green play into a distant star?

  • I saw them do this tune in 1978 opening for Styx. March 15 1978 at New Haven CT Colleseum. Be Bop was a favorite band of mine. Their opening set was really high energy. They were pushing the new LP, "Drastic Plastic," so "Shine" was the only tune of that set not from that record. It was their real stretch-out tune w/ changing textures, their trademark. A quick nod to the mid-1970s Jeff Beck sound, thoroughly filtered thru Bill Nelson's musicality. Yow, what great tone and touch!

  • @Broadfieldpoint yes absolutely spot on - great feel and dynamics!!!

  • One silly guy I know, say that Bill is not a good G player ????

    He sucks!!!!!

  • Bill is the reason I picked up a guitar 35 years ago. Still my biggest inspiration

  • Stupendously brilliant!

  • The worlds most underated guitarist playing one iof the worlds most underated guitars the great Yamaha SG 2000 Heavenly combination.

  • @Broadfieldpoint You are so right! I've heard a lot of guitarists' work, but this guy is something else. Plus, he does a lot of intricate stuff while he's singing. So good it's scary.
