Particle simulation showing fairly accurate and robust collision detection and resolution with a complex object in real-time. The collision object(s) can be stationary or animating and rigid or deforming.

Technology is scalable and is ideal for games -- I can upload some more videos if there is interest.

  • what programs are usede to create these simulations? id love an answer

  • This was made a few years ago with a home brewed physics engine in my game engine where I test algorithms for games. I had a decent CPU and graphics card (kind of crappy by today's standards :)).

In this example, particles don't collide with each other.

    Regards.

  • Thanks for your kind and funny comments. This was made a few years ago with a home brewed physics engine. I had a decent CPU and graphics card (kind of crappy by today's standards :)). Since I have not seen anything like this in games even now, I thought I'd post it here and ask you all if tech has any merit. Regards.

  • did u use any particular colision detection algorithm for it

  • virtual physics still have a long way to go

  • very nice. I would rather have crappy particle systems in games right now then wait another 5 years for it to get better. =)

  • Yes you can. Copyright is automatic, but if you legally copyright something it goes into the official Copyright database and the government will make sure no one can mess with your copyright work. Next time, before you get angry, look it up, do some research.

  • The cow has an invisible sheild!!

  • pretty sweet! do the particles detect collisions between each other or just with the cow?
