  • no one disagrees acro-skills have their place in distraction, but are virtual without ability when facing flying objects, cartwheel, flip, barrel rolls and more... unless you know its coming the timing is fully a task in itself.... as proven by Bruce lee, Jackie chan, and sho-kosugi one of the most known stunt ninja artist of tv and more...but as we see movies sell what few can do...

  • those who seek these aspects and want to see my world of the shadow, contact blkmagus13@aol.com and see for yourself...

  • with all due respect Soke Masaaki Hatsumi would disagree with that statement, and has established it in his own words that ninjutsu is an expression of the arts that are taught from design to design, and he isn't the for most teacher, he is the only open one...that most know about because of Mr K Hays...

  • To prove my point all of you ''experts'' go look up UFC cartwheel knockout. A professional fighter gets knocked out by a girly ass cartwheel. You guys wanna know why, its because of the shock value and the fact that it was unorthodox. Risky BUT the end justifies the means...Cased Closed

  • Although it is extremely risky in a confrontation, Good taihenjutsu is GREAT way to escape a situation. If you use it to show off then yes it can get you hurt. its very unorthodox and has a great shock value to a person who sees you do it which can be very Psychological. at the end of the day its all about the mind. if i can scare you before a fight by doing a simple backflip and landing in some goofy pose, then that saves me a trip to jail from seriously hurting you. confrontation prevented

  • Acrobatics used as an escape is high level BUT it serves its purpose. One, is for intimidation. you dont know how many people have seen me do tricks and say "i wouldnt fight you" even though i would never do acrobatics in a fight. Two, some throws, at last minute, require you to do some type of acrobatics to prevent a joint from getting dislocated. Three, at night when you do an acrobatic movement it breaks up your shape. Four, doing acrobatics can cover a large amount of distance.

  • ok first off as a practitioner of the art and a practitioner of so called "tricks" i would like to say this: I agree that the flipping is risky in combat but they are highly practical. Ive noticed most people say that it isnt because they CANT do them. i hate it when people talk about something they dont understand and this is why im commenting on this to silence some of the "experts" on what they think is practical.

  • @shinobiue95 No, it's not! Nor is it worse. After 12 years of Bujinkan and several...well...let's simply call them "encounters" ^^'' ...I can assure there is no good or bad martial art - there's only good or bad fighters! A good boxer can take down a bad krav maga practicioner in an instant. an experienced karate-ka can hammer a sloppy northern shaolin kung fu fighter into the ground. It's all about dedication and willpower, training and experience! find the way that fits you!
