Heike's Open Braids (Braiding my own Hair)

http://africanbraiding.de: Most of the time I braid my hair myself because I do not like to trust my hair to anybody else than to my friends from Magic Style. Unfortunately I live too far away now and thus not able to make the trip to Magic Style more than once a year at the most. Recently a lot of my friends complained that they have not seen any pictures or me for quite a while, so here is a little video for you guys. My hair style is called Open Braids and I used thermofiber hair in the colors 1b, 4 and 2 to put them in.

Leider wohne ich inzwischen zu weit weg, um mehr als einmal im Jahr bei Magic Style vorbeischauen zu können. Meine Freunde haben sich beschwert, weil sie schon lange keine Fotos oder ähnliches von mir zu sehen bekommen haben. Also überrasche ich sie nun mit diesem kleinen Video! Ich trage selbstgeflochtene Open Braids mit Thermofiberhaar in den Farben 1b, 2 und 4.

When I do it all by myself it takes a week...but I take my time. I just open a small section and rebraid it every day. I am too busy to do it completely in one marathon session.

Oh thank you so much for the nice compliment! Well, the trick is to do the braids in sections. When it is time to get them redone, I open a braid and then rebraid it right away. Then I move on to the next one. If I get fed up I stop and continue the next day. That way you don't have to kill yourself to get it all done in one day and you do not run around with only half a head braided either ;). Works great for me.

Awesome it don't even look like braids it look like curly hair. I know your glad your finished it seemed like it took a couple of days or so to finish fabulous outcome!

Thank you! Yes, I camouflage the braids by leaven a strand of hair out of the braid close to the scalp. My own hair is pretty long and if I would not do that, you would only see braids ;).
