Off the upcoming album "Retribution". The Shads performing under a small pavilion for a few friends at a private party in Southwick Mass on 6/20/09. Bizarre, weird and awesome were a few words uttered to describe it. Free Red Bull was enjoyed by all, especially me. Thanks Matt.

  • You do realize record label has absolutely NOTHING to do with a band's music, right? And while the entire album wasn't "extreme" by you guys' standards, Failure of the Devout was just as heavy as this and their other music.

But then again, Youtube commenters generally seem to be less intelligent than the average person anyway...

  • chill dude I didnt get that off myspace btw

I just thought fans of the band would like to hear a studio quality recording of a new song... No need for the freakout

  • Nice... Where in Southwick was this?

  • when did the uploader become pop up video?

  • @metalfreekz13 But then Wrath was epic in heavyness

  • im guessing ur a trivium fan huh

  • Crazy song!

  • Dont forget Dread Uprising ;D and if you look at all the bands who moved to major labels, they generally get less heavy. Look at Lamb of God with Sacrament. Sure it was heavy, but not as heavy as their other stuff. And going from War Within to Threads to Retribution is just a HUGE leap in heaviness, especially on War, this song, and King of Nothing. And yea i know FotD was just as heavy dude, they have only been my favorite band for 7 years =P
