This machine named "Spritfresser" uses a 2.8 horsepower two-strike engine taken from a pocket bike to open beer bottles with swing top cap.
It can also differentiate between 0.33 l and 0.5 l bottles (indicated by a yellow and a green LED) and whether the bottle is open (red LED).
Technically the machine is equipped with an Arduino microcontroller and a self-soldered board working as a voltage stabilizer.
It was built by Alexander and Florian, two mechanical engineering students from Fachhochschule Gelsenkirchen, Germany, for a contest of their faculty. The project was awarded with the first prize.

Coole idee, aber wozu braucht man das bei einem Plopp-Verschluss? Baut mal eine Maschine für Standard-Kronkorken. Das wäre German Engineering... :-)

good job i like it...it is very funny and powerfoul!! :)
you should change the motor with an electric one, and you can control it with a pwm controller. another thing that you can do is to implement the project with a display that count the number of beer that you have uncupped, and drink ;)
