After you've painstakingly crafted the metal frame, throw it away, buy a PolyTune and use your iPhone for actual phone calls. :)

i'm more interested in this to see how to get my iphone into my amplifiers fx loop/signal chain. With a loop pedal i can loop any sounds i can get out of my iphone as well as using it as a microphone and looping that out of the amp.
