Amici del Canto - "Sing We And Chaunt It"

Amici del Canto perform "Sing We And Chaunt It" by English composer, Thomas Morley (1558 - 1603). This is a secular, unaccompanied madrigal presented in five-part harmony (SSATB).

It was performed at the Alte Nikolaikirche in Frankfurt on 27th July 2007.

Sing we and chaunt it
While love doth grant it
Not long youth lasteth
And old age hasteth
Now is best leisure
To take our pleasure
All things invite us
Now to delight us
Hence care be packing
No mirth be lacking

it seems too fast, i'm doing it this year with my high school

i do agree with Apollodorus85 as well the echo is not very helpful either,

but they had good pitch and and really good dynamics

Thanks for your comment, but I disagree on the tempo, any slower would turn it slightly "dirgy". It's supposed to be about grabbing the best out of life while you can, so this tempo is entirely justified. As for the venue's acoustic, you have to deal with what you're handed in that respect and make the best of it.

They seem like great singers, but the echo in this church is not an asset to the performance. Too bad.
