is it really necessary to tie up the alpaca like that i shear my llamas and alpacas without tieing them up like that just fine.

@KyleNarayan Crule? they are preventing them from dying of heat stroke and the shots are to ward off worms and disease. Do you take your children to get their hair cut? Do you take them to get their shots? Do they scream and act terrified? Yes. Do you let them run around, a shaggy, diseased mess? No, because its for their own well being and they dont understand that.

What about the body slam of the alpaca? Even on a mat  I never have done and would never do that intentionally and I have been shearing for 7 years and on an alpaca ranch for 10. What about the fiber collecting? Aren't these animals used for their fiber? Aside from the blanket being torn into pieces during collecting and shearing; why start on one of the dirtiest, coarsest parts of the animal? I won't get into differences in technique, but watch that tail please I've been told it bleeds forever.
