Carrie Underwood's not a total bust? She's sold over 10 million albums has won how many awards and was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. I would say she has been the best to come out of American Idol. The only people you cna blame for who wins AI is well Americans, there the ones chosing, and usually chosing the wrong people.

The reason why I don't give Carrie that much credit is because it's SOOOOOOO easy to dominate Country music. Other than Faith Hill & Underwood name me a hot female Country singer that a non-die hard C&W music fan would know about. THERE ARE NONE!!

Now if she had gone the pop star way like Clarkson where Kelly has to compete against Xtina, Britney, Madonna, Rhianna, Alicia Keys, Ciara, and WAAAAAAAAY too many to attempt to name. If she had done that then I'd give more credit to Underwood.

I mean, c'mon. Carrie has an entire genre of fans just dying for some new female voices for all the C&W ladies out there to enjoy. So of course it's easy to sell 10 million albums when she basically has ZERO competition.

It's like the Kanye vs. 50 Cent thing. Carrie doesn't have to worry about if her album is going up against someone elses or worry about her songs getting airplay on the radio. Because she doesn't have a 50 Cent to her Kanye West.

Yeah, I keep forgetting to put that out there that I'm gonna be filling in for Shango. I'll do my best to keep ya'll entertained without a whole lot of Cowboys news. The 2nd week we should be a lot of fun with mini-camp news.

LOL It's cool. They do get some pretty good singers on the show sometimes. I remember there was an ex-Marine on the show and I thought he was pretty good. But he got voted off pretty early.

I think I'll spend this weekend figuring out how to do that ustream.

30 million people watch it. So it's got a lot of entertainment value. And maybe if they tweaked things it'd be enjoyable for me to watch as well. But as it is, it's a flawed system. The only thing it's proved is that the majority of America shouldn't be in the music industry. LOL

Maybe if they took a page out of the NFL's probowl system. Give the fans 1/3 vote, the judges 1/3, and a group of producers 1/3. Then maybe AI wouldn't be giving us garbage.

It's funny how many B-list Celebs that American Idol is creating. I'll bet you within 3 years Taylor Hicks will be doing off-off-off Broadway musicals, Fantasia Burrino will go back to being a hoodrat hoochie, and Ruben Studdard will be a spokesperson for Jenny Craig or something.
