@SpiritsoftheWolf You evidently haven't heard the EPA rules then, that's whats killing the engines in the US, all the extra smog and equipment is restricting the exhaust and creating heat, also declining the mileage. I know a guy working in the US helping design new diesels to be sold in Europe, they can't be sold here because the restrictions. Look it up before bashing others, BTW the heavy smoke is poorly burned fuel, indicating running rich!
