  • Ohhh God. You should title this video. Why people think the deadlift will hurt you.

    You have got your back rounded so much and your just grinding threw with 500 pounds of bad form and the to top it off just to make sure you will someday hurt your self you lean your body nice and back from the waist up.

  • My back is slightly rounded, hardly "so rounded". And no I don't hyperextend. My back is in a straight line at the top. Go learn the basics before you criticize.

  • Thanks. Honestly, I pulled a little heavier about a year ago. I just can't seem to get my DL into the man zone (600+). I'll have to improve it if I ever want to be a top LW.

  • slightly rounded? this is the worst deadlift i've seen in a long time

  • joints= ouch. i wouldn't say your form is terrible, and your back isn't in too much an extreme curve... but the way your head shot up and your hips sank down when you started your lift concerned me. bottom line your head, neck, and back weren't in as straight of a line as they probably should have. my track coach says that if you can't control your central core line when you do any exercise, you're lifting too much. just please be careful*Real strength comes from perfect form, not more weight.*

  • No man, his form is terrible... especially his lowerback... But its 1rep and its 550... so I understand, but I would still not do 550 if I had to do it with this form, but I understand him.

  • Man, read the comments please. You are going to get injured, and you won't like it. Work on your hamstring flexibility. Learn how to arch your back properly. Some statistics: a rounded back is 13% weaker.
