Final Fantasy VII: Emerald Weapon in 1:16

cloud and barret vs. emerald weapon

set up this way:
cloud: w-item materia
barret: 7 paired commandcounter (mastered) and mime (mastered) materia

equipment:
cloud: ultima weapon, aurora armlet, sprint shoes
barret: missing score, mystile, touph ring
stats:
cloud and barret both have maxed luck stat, cloud has 255 speed while barret has 245, and barret has 255 strength and attack.

@chaotixstorm leveling up of the lone blue "counter" materia that you get in the final dungeon. just keep mastering them until you have the number needed.

I didn't play the game that much. Sorry to ask a stupid question but, what is mime and what does it do?

Unlimited limit breaks, nice strategy :)!!!

@ale03000 not stupid at all. mime is a command materia that copies whatever attack one does. so if a character uses a certain attack, either the same character or another can have mime equipped to use that same attack afterwards. when it comes to limit breaks however, only the same character can mime it.

Wow you beat my time. I had a similar setup on the materias but not like 7x the mimic and counter. I didn't think having multiples of the same would work. But yes, I did one for Cloud's omnislash. Used the limit break about 10 times and knights of round twice. Whole battle lasted around 2 and half min.

@cyberxspeed cool. the reason why the time was quicker was only in the limit break choice. ungarmax not only hits more times than omnislash (from what i've heard anyway lol) but it's also much faster.

@sora630 He mime countered. Since Ungarmax was the last friendly action and it's barret's ability, he mimed it. And since he countered times because of 7 sets of (Mime=Counter) he used Ungarmax 7 times when he was hit as a counter. When you link Counter to anything it USES that materia to counter with, so Mime was used.
