Hilary Duff Starring In New Bonnie and Clyde

Hilary Duff will star in the indie The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, directed by Tonya S. Holly. The film promises to be a new adaptation of the story rather than a remake of the 1967 Warren Beatty/Faye Dunaway classic, according to Variety.

Unknowns Natalie Canerday and Rance Howard will also star.


Duff was recently seen in War, Inc., at least for the four or five people who saw that. Before that, she co-starred with her sister Haylie in the flop Material Girls.

OH BS, Hilary Duff will do just fine, she looks good & can act just as well. The casting of this film will not make or break it, what will is how close the true event are followed, keeping with historical facts.........I think Hillary Duff is fine as hell & can't wait for the new film, as far as Fay Dunaway goes, I wasn't very impressed with that movie anyway.........

Kevin Zegers as Clyde I think for the most part good is casting, he has been very sharp in many films such as Transamerica and Fifty Dead Men Walking. He's really come along since he was younger. This might be his next dramatic role that he can really do well in. But again we have to wait and see!

I'm looking forward to this take on Bonnie and Clyde, I do have many concerns though. I'm a huge fan of the original. I do think Hilary Duff was miscast but she might be good WHO KNOWS?? stranger things have happened. What I'm interested in seeing is the new style they'll take the story in and maybe show some events that were not shown in the old one, But the writers and director are mostly unknown and really haven't proven themselves which is definately conerning me.

ive been hearing about this film since 07' WTF! is up? I love Hilary she is a good actor but lately all her films go straight to dvd or tv movies.

have you seen the girl in gossip girl? she was AWKWARD, it was NOT appealing. I cringed every time she spoke. Anybody who watched her in that knows she does NOT possess the talent to act as Bonnie.

She should go get acting training before taking such a heavy role.

I don't think there is any way to out do the classic movie, but there are alot of people who just don't watch old movies or in some cases, younger people don't even know about them. The new movie could revitalize the story and even draw new attention to the old version. Most movies about actual historical events aren't exactly accurate. I'm sure neither version will tell the whole truth. If done well, it could be Hillary Duffs opportunity to convert into a real dramatic actress. We'll see..
