In 2004, we compiled a list of Hawaii's 50 greatest musical albums. At the time, the most recent release to be honored was from 1997. More than a decade into the 21st Century, we wanted to know what the best of it was.

This video touches on four artists who made the list: Israel Kamakawiwoole, Raiatea Helm, The Brothers Cazimero, Kealii Reichel. Special thanks to Jon de Mello, Billy V of Hawaiian 105 KINE, Jim Linkner, Mountain Apple Co. and all of our panelists.

The full list of the 25 winning albums is in the September issue of HONOLULU Magazine, on newsstands now, and will be available online at honolulumagazine.com by the end of the month, but get a sneak peek at some of the albums in this video.
