Noel, a male siberian tiger, smells something! This is known as the Flehmen response, where a cat opens its mouth in order to facilitate airflow to the Jacobson's organ in the roof of their mouth to help it decipher a scent.
Noel was abandoned at a vet clinic in Arlington. His bones were soft and riddled with hairline fractures as a result of imporper diet. He was unable to walk or even stand up for the first two or three weeks he was at IEAS. Come see more of our cats at http://www.bigcat.org
