@DixieMuscleCarscom having said that a gt40x motor can be considered stock from ford as it was an explorer bottom, and thats a 306
-
@dwnsdr3 incorrect, 306 is .030 over, 308 is .040 over.
-
@DrEvil7378 Its .040 overbore

big boost, but i hear the belt slipping, and it sounds like it is going to blow up.... good luck with the stock bottom end with that much power it won't last long. should be fun for a bit though
-
@xmysignature is bored 30, do you know anything??
-
@mustangkid232 no point in strengthening the bottom end with a production 5.0 roller block, only reason to get stronger crank and rods is if you go with a stronger block, the stocks rods/crank are pleanty strong when used with a stock 5.0 block, whats the point in spending all that cash to have a block crack.
-
not with the stock block he wouldnt. anything over 500WHP and your pushing the limitsof the stock block.
-
wait a minute, the 302 can hold down 500whp on stock internals? so this is why all my buddies keep boosting their ponys... im not a big fan of forced induction on my V8s, but my straight 6 and 1.9HO is another story...
-
sick car... thats exactly what i want to do.. i run my 302 on nitrous its a pretty fast street car but im bored of it.. 306 is a safe choice walls are thick 347s arent good to turbo when you drive it all the time good for power but easy to blow up
