The infamous Concert For Clean Air In Chino, CA mentioned in the introduction to Tortelvis' drum solo in Moby Dick from the Un Led ED album. Feast, if you will, in the delicious irony of playing the Woodstock theme song to about 25 stoned hippies in the park. Ahhhhhhhh... showbiz! Vid features the original Cheese on drums and Ed Zeppelin Mach I on conga.

  • what in the hell? i remember seeing these guys in columb. ohio back in the 90's and the place was packed, and it should have been, they freakin rock. cant believe that small of a number of people showed up. bad promotion work, or just whatever city it's in, is lame.

  • @flyvibe71

I wasn't just BAD production... It was the worst production EVER. Ha ha... but Dread Zep were brand new at this time so no one knew any better.

  • I was led to this video by Jah Paul Jo's Aug 24 Dread Talk article. This song is so good it is not funny -literally! DZ's musicianship by any standard is off-the-charts sick. The arrangements transcend parody. They are original and inspired and as tight as any mega-star band anytime, anywhere.

  • Hell I love these dudes!! Don't care who knows it, I've been rockin' DZ for a long time now. The live stuff is fun, but to truly appreciate their talent, you need to sit down, put on some headphones and commit to the experience. Thanks for many years of entertainment!

  • @dreadzeppelindottv Thanks, I'll check it out! A a funny DZ moment. The second time I saw you guys live was at The Chestnut Cabaret in Philly. One of my friends resembles Greg in real life and dressed as a full metal Tort for the show. When we walked in, the crowd carried him towards the front, all the while he's trying to tell them that he's not Tortelvis. Finally convinced that he wasn't Tort, he was dropped flat on his back, knocking the wind out of him!

Here is the full story (it won't let me put link so try to type it like this) dread zeppelin dot tv/?p=1591

  • @GrippoMarx

Tortelvis lives in a world of dancing cheeseburgers and creme puffs. Very much "in the moment." As a result, his memory can be flawed.

  • @dreadzeppelindottv How cool, I thought i remembered that, heard Tort talk about it once on a Canadian radio show called "Brave New Waves".

  • @dreadzeppelindottv If that lame rag Rolling Stone hates you, then you must be doing something right. It's a badge of honor, baby!

  • @dreadzeppelindottv

You can faintly hear Joni shriek at the very end of the record (I always assumed/hoped it was with delight!). Went straight from that party and played it at the ridiculous "Chino Concert For Clean Air" that you see in this vid... and then deadheaded straight to The Club Lingerie in Hollywood where we played it for the third and final time.

  • @GrippoMarx ...

Believe it or not... we only played this song live once... three times! In the morning, played a party for the reunion of the cast and crew of the movie, Woodstock. We learned this song specifically for any of the famous folk that might show up. We lucked out and had both Joni and David Crosby there.... (more)

  • I remember hearing you guys did this in front of Joni Mitchell at one point.
