  • The MK4's and MK5's are both called Bora's. VW used elements to help them name their cars. Jetta comes from the German word jet stream, Passat is a German word for trade wind. Golf from Gulf Stream. Scirocco is a warm wind from the Mediterranean area. Bora is a cold northernly wind that blows from the Hungarian Basin into the Adriatic Sea.

  • The Bora and the Jetta are the same car.

  • I was under the impression that only MkIV style "Jettas" were called Boras in different countries. They still make new 2009 Boras with the MkIV body style in other countires.

  • i have the last version of the jetta 2004 and i have to say i think it looks better than the new ones. granted there are some pretty awesome new features but they charge so much more to deck it. i bought mine used and has all the upgrades.

  • Yes... is the same car only is different names in different's countrys

  • How come I've never seen this?!
