The ID number, obviously, is not limited to 3 digits. most users id's being over 12 digits long. by ever only typing in three numbers, you are only ever goin to get the first 999 members, most of them probably Harvard students from when its was first created (yes, just like in "Social Network")

Every Facebook user is assigned a unique ID no. Wen that ID number is typed into a comment box along with the "@" symbol, it simply "tags" them, its only converting there "unique ID" into full name. EG) typing in @[444:0] reveals the name of Facebook user with the ID number 444.

Right click on your profile page and chose "view page source" on the line that noted with number 4 (it may differ according to which internet browser you use, but in google chrome is 4) you will fiend your actual unique ID on Facebook. type it like this @[the number you got:0] to see your Facebook name after 1 second.
