The Problem? New lawyers don't have the skills they need to practice right out of law schools.
A Solution: Incubators and post-graduate residencies to help lawyers, like doctors, get residency-like training in the practical skills needed to serve clients.

For 15 years, Fred Rooney has approached the problem of lack of access to justice by building postgraduate programs aimed at helping lawyers get the hands-on, practical skills they need to deliver legal services.

"People in underserved communities, people of limited resources should be entitled to the same quality of representation that they'd get if they had a lot of money and could go to a large firm."

Rooney was featured as part of the ABA Journal's 2013 Legal Rebels project. Read his full profile here: http://www.abajournal.com/legalrebels...
