  • You seriously have a talent for explaining. I know you don't like being called a genius, but your skills at explaining, especially in front of a camera, are godly.

  • awsome very very helpful with my homework

  • @rell298 f '(x)= 6x-6. you bring down the exponent to the coefficient and multiply them together. for example, when you derive 3x^2, you bring down the 2 to the front and multiply it with the three making it 6x. then, make you fix the new exponent number of the exponent you just moved: you subtract 1 from the original value. ex: 3x^2. the original exponent of 2 moved down and you would subtract 1 from two making it just x^1. maybe this is easier f(x)= ax^y + zx^b -> f '(x)= ayx^y-1 + abx^b-1

  • 5 people weren't wearing their glasses when they clicked on the like button and missed it....... O_o

  • how wuld you solve f(x)= 3x^2-6x+7 by using the definition of the derivative?

  • I used to make stupid arrow in the knee jokes than I took a derivative of a log to the head.

  • Thank you so much. I would fail calculus if it weren't for you because all of my teachers have been horrible!!!!! You're a grade and life saver!

  • what happens if your base is 10? so the question is log(x^2).. i did (1/x^2*ln10)*2x, so MY answer is 2/xln10. the answer at the back is 2/xLOG10, not "ln10"(my answer) - please help :(

  • 4:15 - What kind of a Sorcery is this?

  • Well I've been watching your videos non-stop for about 14 hours.... have my final in an hour and a half. I feel a lot more confident after watching your videos, thanks so much for taking your time to make these. You are helping so many students far beyond what you can even imagine. Thank you so much!

  • Thank you so much your videos are awesome!!! They have helped me a ton in my online dual credit calulus class :D

  • thanks dude i got a 100 on my test wooooho with out your help i will be failing my class

  • Your my hero

  • "so I've got a natural logarithm of 4 that's gonna be down there hangin out" lol, best description of mathematical processes ever!

  • im glad youtube gave you a partnership, you deserve it :P

  • thanks you're a lifesaver!!

  • i have a test tomorrow in AP calc and this helped a lot. thank you so muchhh

  • Thank you! I'm in AP Calc, and I've never needed help with math before, but I got tutor this year because I got a C- first quarter. My teacher moves SO fast through the material, it's insane (in my opinion). I think all the kids around me have taken summer math classes or something because they rarely have questions. We're on chapter 5 now, but I just figured out chapter 4! WTF?! (I got another C- on the previous chapter's test.)

Anyways, these videos have helped a lot.

  • @prestonubc22 watch his exponential derivatives video

  • everytime i miss class, i come to youtube to watch your videos about whatever i missed. thanks so much!

  • what about 10^x ln(x)

  • Seriously awesome vids patrickJMT seriously thank you!
