Hi there. Many thanks for the great lessons! A question about the main (recognisable) riff at the end of the lesson: when you go up to the C arpeggio (i think that's what it is), is there some reason you don't use the open strings for the D and G? Are you suggesting the D on the A string and G on the D string more for technique, to strengthen the fingers or some other reason? I usually avoid the open strings if they sound a bit dead or i have to make effort to dampen, in this case, it seems ok.

@smilers15 I use those notes in that location because it's easier to get a staccato sound fretting the notes and simply lifting hte finger a fraction. It's easier for beginners too to 'damp' that way - if you're accomplished at damping with your right hand and prefer to use the open strings then you can do so. This is not 'the right way' to play the tune, it's simply 'one way' that you can play through the tune.
