On Valentine's Day 2010, we visit the NS Harrisburg Line to catch the morning rush. We'll first catch NS 34A, a very long westbound manifest train, with a sweet Nathan P5 on the lead unit. We'll then catch the hotshot, NS 21M heading west. Our 3rd train of the morning is our first eastbound, NS 262 - the "Roadrailer". And for our final location, we'll manage to see quite a treat! On this Valentine's Day, NS empty coal train 509 heads west through Sinking Springs, as East Penn Railroad LANO branch local is waiting for clearance into Reading yard. So sit back, stay warm, and enjoy this exciting action west of Reading. Here's a shot from that day with the PRL 2204 in Sinking Springs: http://chessie2101.smugmug.com/Trains/PresidentsDayWeekend2010/DSC0605/798120...

  • Adam, I don't know what's up but your times are an hour ahead of real time. 509 was the first train I caught that day and I caught him in the Richland area at 12:45. Anyway, nice stuff there with the PRL, 509 was interesting to say the least, 5415 is a one of a kind locomotive, being that it is the ONLY SD50 in "can-opener" CR paint. I'm sorry I was not available in the morning/noon but um, I'll have my Sunday video up sometime too. Nice video.

  • @nprsux

  • cool video did you see eric when you were fanning the line?

  • Awesome video, Adam! The leading engine on the first train had an awesome P5!
