So you've worked for months to put together a set, you go along and get up on stage and perform your set and you get paid for it.

A couple of weeks later someone else is up there, performing YOUR jokes, getting good crowd response from them and getting paid for it.

It's underhanded. If you're in the business of stand-up it's generally accepted that you shouldn't perform someone else's jokes.
