Rendering Metadata (2010) was set on Second Life real-time virtual 3D environment. Directed by Steve Beck, the film is a Metaverse Machinima Production, and Distributed by Metaverse Branding.
Apart from the transitions, where were used some third part plugins, the metadata seen in this film were not produced by post edition/production programs, such as Adobe AfterEffects. For more detailed information on XMP metadata in After Effects, please follow this link http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AfterEffects/9.0/WSE208DA8E-DC73-4567-8B88-4C48D4...
The images were captured as it, by rendering in-world several combs of metadata, like Bounding Boxes, Octree, Shadow Frusta, Occlusion, Render Batches, Texture Animation, Texture Priority, Texture Area, Face Area, Lights, Collision Skeleton, and Raycast. Most images were produced while also rendering Wireframe, Framebuffer Objects, Global Illumination, and Deferred Rendering.
Render Metadata is accessible through Develop menu, in Second Life Viewer 2. The Develop menu is not for general use. It provides access to unsupported features on SL Viewer 2.
The film was made with use of Registered Scripted Agents [Bots] rather than human being. The Bots wear Teen Avatars made by Lilly Figgis, the M3D Designer.
It was set at M3D Teen Dance Club, in SL.
