"I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't had this thing to keep me occupied. Desi died and my show got canceled. If I hadn't had this, if I hadn't this reassurance that I was still wanted, I don't think that I could have gone on." -- Lucille Ball, speaking about the Kennedy Center Honors.

Just thinking about Lucy brings a smile to my face. She was that good". Those are the words said by Madonna when she was asked about Lucille Ball.

"Lucy is my favorite". Quote from Frank Sinatra

  • @reshamari11 Great quotes. Lucy said she found herself brave but never funny. I could never understand that. She was funny, talented, AND brave.

  • Do you have this in it's entirety? I would love to see it!

  • Cronkite was the man! RIP

  • To answer your question beachbumrc17, Madonna said that quote about Lucy when Lucy died around 1989 and they were asking all celebs to comment about Lucy on the tv show Entertainment Tonight. At that point in 1989 Madonna had been famous for about 5 or 6 years.
