@MitchofSmeg It was also given to the centurion indeed. Both tanks served as base for future tank designs. The Panther for example was used for reverse enginering and military service by the French after WW2. Since the Panther was deployed before the centurion, a lot of people count the Panther as the first tank who had a role similar to modern tanks. Though youre right that the centurion is the first tank to be explicitly described as a MBT.

@TheBlackhawk123 I thought that "first MBT" thing and "creator of all tanks to come" was widely given to the centurion which was considered "the best tank to not fight in ww2" due to its getting there just to late for the party.
