@tiddlywinks98712 I think you misunderstood what he said. He says "And the guy has been listening to it with the amp. And he played it with the action from an amp." This is a great way to track guitars. some many post tracking options to make the existing sound bigger or fix some tonal issues. This guy is a legend. Love the videos...

That´s the way to go. I too almost always use a Amplitube on the guitar tracks, makes them better fit into the mix. Weird but true for me anyways.

its called re-amping.. he still gets the mic'd sound from the amp
but also the clean original pre-effects sound from the di
(the di has two outputs)
this makes the sound a lot more versatile!
