I saw and heard him sing this at the Paramount theater in NYC just after he was discharged from the army in 1954, so his mother definitely heard him sing it. It was great back then, you could see the biggest stars and a movie, for the price of a movie. Damone maintained his perfection his entire career......never heard him hit a wrong note.

Sometimes I forget just how talented Mr. Damone is. Thanks for a pleasant reminder. Like Eddie Fisher, Tony Martin and a few other great ones, Damone never cheats while singing, he just floors you with great range and beauty of tone.
