The few, the proud, the dedicated... my fans who are still refusing to take "no" for an answer when it comes to me making videos, so here I go again with #36 - the teaser trailer for the upcoming CITY OF HEROES expansion, GOING ROGUE.

By all accounts, the expansion is going to push the limits of CITY OF HEROES in almost every way - from graphics to play style, from storyline to character development. And from the day it was announced, I knew I wanted to do a teaser and a trailer for it.

Returning once again to the brilliant sounds of Brand X Music, "A Mirror Dimly" features the track "De Ja Vu." The contrasts of light piano with dark crashing hits, along with its undertones of building menace, worked beautifully with the notion that all is not as it appears in the world of Praetoria, and in GOING ROGUE in general.

Like my other videos, this one is tagged as Samuraiko Productions, for those who follow my work. Enjoy! (If you like my stuff, swing by the SAMURAIKO.COM website for more videos that YouTube doesn't control.)

Footage from CITY OF HEROES and CITY OF VILLAINS, used per general permission from NCSoft/Cryptic Studios. Music is "De Ja Vu" by Brand X Music. All rights reserved by their respective owners.

  • Your vids are ALWAYS better then the official one.

  • @Reefy1952 Thanks... actually, the video for this year's Christmas event was probably the best official vid I've seen them do since Issue 11. If you haven't watched it, go check it out. :)

  • I am going to use this on doidd.com hope you don't mind.

  • @DavidRodriguezjr Not at all, as long as credit is given where it's due. :)

  • 1 Corinthians 13:12 contains the phrase βλεπομεν γαρ αρτι δι εσοπτρου εν αινιγματι', which is rendered in the KJV as "For now we see through a glass, darkly." But otherwise an excellent job. ;)

  • @gruntwhistle I actually use the Westminster Study Bible, which offers multiple translations from the Greek and Hebrew (and I can read Greek). I found the 'mirror' variant a bit more apt, and so used that. But I'm glad you still liked it! :)
