MCS passing over us close to the E42 exit at Maubray with up to 60mph (100kmh) gust winds and lots of intra cloud lightning, bringing hail up to little over an inch (up to 3cm). Luckily, no damage to the car. If we were chasing ten miles further north we could have gotten under the supercell ahead of the MCS which had a sustained narrow path of hail from northern France over Belgium and the Netherlands with an average hailsize of 1,5 inch up to 4 inches (4cm to 12cm) diameter in some places.
