DOGS ARE DOGS.YES, pits have been bred to fight OTHER dogs but NEVER to attack a person and especially the owner. It's bc of irresponsible people we have these situations.Dobermans and Rotts can be just as dangerous if trained to behave that way.These ignorant people feed them gun powder and spices to make them crazy and aggressive.ALL DOGS can be "aggressive" but it all depends on the owners,dogs are the reflection of their owners.Stereotypes is doing so much damage to this breed,blame the ppl

Most people are NOT responsible enough to own a dog or have a kid.....it is not surprising that these things happen. You have a choice own a dog for protection or a gun. I trust over a burglar alarm and I like the fact that she has a great sense of smell and hearing. Nothing gets by her and so there is no element of surprise. Owning a gun without having a warning of an intruder is worthless! All dogs need training and more training...they can't just be locked in the yard and ignored!

I wonder if the had been aggressive before would have the owner admitted it in the interview? I think the dog must have been unsocialized. We as humans have been taming dogs for centuries, I doubt out of all the dog breeds only the "pit bull" is "unstable"

when people will ever understand that pit bulls are mentally unstable....the most horrific sever attacks are done by pit bulls because out of all the other breeds that exist in this world people chose them as their pets.....i will never understand this shit...why a pit bull?......there are so many other breeds out there....stupid people and their pit bulls......stupidity kills

If people say, oh, my dog isn't like that, he isnt aggressive, you shouldnt stereotype dogs based on breed. Well stereotypes are around for a reason, and why do you need a large pit bull or rott?

It doesn't make any sense what some of you are saying. Let me try to explain. If a chihuahua attacks me, the damage is minimal. If a pit bull attacks me, the results could be devastating, maybe even fatal. Why is it so hard for people to understand that? I'm not saying ban pit bulls, but hold the owner's accountable for their dog, with heavy heavy fines and maybe even jail time if they fail to contain/control their dogs.

@myblackG35 Its actually not out of the ordinary for any dog to bite another dog. A lab ran out of someones yard when my brother was biking down the road, it ran out, knocked him over and ripped his leg apart.
