i tested my one rm to measure my progress and also to see my fast twitch fiber dominance. it turns out i am fast twitch fiber dominant

to find this out you measure your 1RM then test X% of 1RM and see if you get the predicted amount of reps for that percentage. i got less reps than predicted, there for no endurance for me, just fast twitch stuff going on
google it if your interested.

  • @turn1210 yeah true! its more of a split squat dead lift i guess, i dont even do these any more i pretty much just do back squat, front squat, clean and jerk, snatch and clean pull.

  • good stuff, but surely you should start by lifting the bells to waist height before dipping into the split squat?

  • What is that music in the background? Who is it by?

  • Whatever you're doing, you're developing good calves. Keep working on them as well as the rest of your body. Great work.

  • @bobbyconditioning shit man that's a hell lot of weight for bsq. What's your vertical?

  • @bobbyatopk aaaa i see, ive never even come across split squats, im assuming the leg thats lifted its only for balance?

  • @freeyourself yeah but im not good at them. my lower back is weaker than my other muscles so i can't go too heavy with deadlifts.

  • you man thats impressive, long tym =P. do you train normal dead lifts aswell?

  • @bobbyatopk I think you are getting what I'm saying, yea. Say you haven't run a 5k in a while. Then you run it once and your time is not good. When you run it a second time, your body will be getting back to its groove and you'll do better. I'm not saying that you should change to endurance training, but rather, just give this test another go in a few days and see how you do. If the reps are the same, you're good.

  • @vlasevmovement but im not talking about increasing the amount of reps i can do at 95. im saying at a percentage of 95 i couldn't do as many reps as is average. and i dont really see how that would change unless my muscle adapts because i have been doing this kind of training for a long time. if i switched to endurance training maybe it would change but i dont want it to change, i want fast twitch dominance. let me know if im misunderstanding what your saying ?
