Not many play this, not many know about this, not many have recorded this so enjoy!

I have uploaded rare out of print and unreleased recordings that are difficult to find, I hope you like them.

Since they are so difficult to find no one should mind me uploading them, if you have issues with me uploading them please send me a message and I will remove them.

  • @lenechka836, thank you very much for your response. He is/ was a fine pianist.

  • @pianomansydney The name of the pianist is Andrey Mytnik. He was Kogan's accompanist in 1950s.

  • Pity the poor pianist when he works hard and plays well, yet doen't get his name mentioned! Thank you very much for uploading this rarety though. It is a fine work, and one I didn't know. Being the piano half of a violin/ piano duo I'm always looking for interesting repertoire, and this is a good discovery, and such a beautiful performance.

  • Amazing! Thank you.

  • @gummybears501 Tell me about it, I have to play it with the orchestra and the parts are completely different. Kremer plays it with the orchestra as Kreisler wrote, which is really funny since the orchestra part compatable with Kreislers violin part is unavailable.

  • By the way, this is the version by Kreisler, not the original by Schumann. It is definitely based off of the original and uses many of the original elements, however several parts are quite different (especially the ending).

  • Try getting your hand on the recording by the Leipzig Gewandhausorchestra with Kurt Masur conducting and Ruggiero Ricci as the soloist. It's very good too, if only because it's played with an orchestra instead of the piano. Although hearing this piano-violin reduction is certainly not bad at all...

  • "Not many play this, not many know about this, not many have recorded this..." True of many of Schumann's works. 2010 is the bicentennial of Schumann's birth. Isn't it about time for rare treasures such as this to come to light? Thanks for posting!

  • Thank you so much for posting this rareviolintreasures! This is the only Schumann concertante work that I had not yet heard. What a gem! :)

  • World class - a genius - awesome
