Going back 18 years in time: Nafiss Nia looks back on the time when she, as a refugee, learned Dutch language from three retired ladies in a backroom of a church. Through her poetry Nafiss dives into her memories of a time when the first seeds of a still growing love for the Dutch language were sown.

De Nederlandse/Iraanse dichter en filmmaker, Nafiss Nia, blikt terug op de tijd waarin ze als vluchteling Nederlandse taalles kreeg van drie gepensioneerde dames in de achterkamer van een kerk. Aan de hand van haar poëzie haalt ze in deze film haar herinneringen op aan een tijd waarin de eerste zaden van een nog steeds groeiende liefde voor de Nederlandse taal werden gestrooid.
