I dont agree. He was (and still is) Metallicas spokesman. I think they did as all agreed on, but he an James do control Metallica. Especially in the early days.In the beginning so did Cliff, but afther his death it was jus those two. At least as far as the music content goes.They tried colaborating, an we got St. Anger. =)
And to be honest, he was Metallica for the first second (it was he that named the band Metallica).
So if you take it a bit far, he does kinda own Metallica...
