Led Zeppelin Immigrant Song with lyrics from Led Zeppelin III
Immigrant Song

Ah ah
We come from the land of the ice and snow
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods
Will drive their ships to new lands
To fight the horde, singing and crying
Valhalla, I am coming!
On we sweep with threshing oar
Our only goal will be the western shore.

Ah ah
We come from the land of the ice and snow
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
How soft your fields so green
Can whisper tales of gore
Of how we calmed the tides of war.
We are your overlords.
On we sweep with threshing oar
Our only goal will be the western shore.

So now you'd better stop and rebuild your ruins
For peace and trust can win the day
Despite all your losing.
Led Zeppelin III is the third album by English rock band Led Zeppelin. It was recorded between January and July 1970 and was released on 5 October 1970 by Atlantic Records. Composed largely at a remote cottage in Wales known as Bron-Yr-Aur, this work represented a maturing of the band's music towards a greater emphasis on folk and acoustic sounds. This surprised many fans and critics and upon its release the album received rather indifferent reviews. Although it is not one of the highest sellers in Led Zeppelin's catalogue, Led Zeppelin III is now generally praised and acknowledged as representing an important milestone in the band's history.

  • @cheesydarkside

    Dio is offbrand iron maiden

  • @akrivosdiavolos73 Actually he's the King/Voice/epitome, i don't like using "God" to describe another human being even if they're enormously talented. That's way OTT. Sacrilige!

  • @akrivosdiavolos73 That's just silly, Zep did not invent heavy metal. They may have contributed to the making of the genre but not nearly as much as their other 70's counterparts like Sabbath, Deep purple ect.. Fandom can sometimes reach a point of expasperation which gets tiresome to be honest. I do agree with Plant being suited to this song than Reznor. He's not the God of metal that'd be Dio..in the literal sense also (!)

  • Just listen to how fucking tight John Bonham is!

  • someone posted these from the vinyl...

  • I would rather believe that the Vikings discovered what is now USA instead of Columbus.

  • @coldstaind91 dude..Nobody is Greater than the GODS = Zeppelin...not even a discussion...Zeppelin invented Heavy Metal...nuff said.....Plant now sings Kentucky Blue Grass.....Trent who??\

  • @gabrielejroldan Without power??? Without power??? Are you serious? Did you not hear Karen O's vocals? It's more sexually inhanced, yes...but you can't deny the edge and adrenaline she puts out in her voice. And Trent Reznor? Don't get me started on him...guy's the fucking god of metal.

  • @coldstaind91 That is a cover without power in the singer. Rock is power.
