  • OK, I know, I know. The sticker wasn't meant to be removed. The guy who owns the reactor removed the sticker before I had a chance to see what it was for. Cheers!

  • @guit156 depends on wut ur doing leisure hike or need to boil water at 15000 ft in a blizzard

  • Nice video, but the more I see of complex cooking gadgetry the more convinced I am such appliances do not belong on trail. We're so busy insulating ourselves from inconveniences out of doors that we forgot why we went there in the first place. Does anyone really need to boil water in 3 minutes on trail? Is it sensible to spend more than $100 on a device intended only to boil water? It's marvelous engineering, but isn't it a reflection of misplaced priorities?

  • I agree that the sticker is meant to stay on for your own safety. But, since you have already removed it, try acetone for removing the adhesive.

  • You are using a disposable isobutane fuel canister, right? Not a white gas canister that you refuel yourself?

  • electric lighter would be very handy, thanks for the reply but unfortunately it has not solved my problem, maybe I got a different kind of gas cylinder, but it is msr 8oz, I put the cloth on bottom the burner next then the gas tank and im a few mm off closing, i have got the latch down but by bending the lid and dont wanna do that cos it might crack, anyway life and its problems, just can't catch a break!

  • @laserspatula

Unscrew the pot from the gas cylinder - put the pot in first and THEN the gas cylinder!

It's a trap for young players ! I wish the Reactor had a piezo-electric lighter - very backward of MSR to not include that! A windproof stove that you can't light in the wind, because the match gets blown out ! Other than that its a great design!

  • Am I going crazy, I bought the reactor on amazon, it didn't come with a gas tank so i just bought an 8oz tank, like the regular little tank, anyhow I can't seem to get it to fit in the pot like it will almost fit but don't wanna force it! Crazy I know! its an msr 8oz tank, can someone let me know how theres fits together? cheers

  • The sticker that is on the pot is a warning label so people like you do not use it in a confined space and kill themselves and I dont know why you are trying to put gsi stuff inside a complete msr cooking system you do not need Gsi parts for your reactor you should read the instructions before you do a video for a stove I have used my reactor stove for 2 years and that safety sticker that you removed has not beeen a problem for me !
