This is some early 1960's footage from the school of GGM Aleju Reyes. As you can see, these are mostly beginners.

You're the only one fighting here man... I am just trying to figure out why they all look way different when they are doing the same style... I don't care what you call me, I have trained in martial arts before, it's my favorit thing in my life, so you can be rude or whatever you want... I don't care. I don't want to train this style anymore anyway. You all seem very rude and mean =P

Shut up man... I know what it means, I am just thinking it would look similar, like into a single stance or something, like mixed together, when you use the boxing, to you change stances into a boxing stance? The when you want to kick, get into a Karate stance, or do you have a single stance that works for all? They were all doing a different style, that had nothing to do with one anothers style. I realize it is mixed style, but they each were just doing different styles period.

@GuamKomudo then apparently you don't know what kajukenbo is..ka (karate...more specifically Korean tang soo do)...ju...(judo/jujitsu)...ke­n (kenpo)...bo (boxing - western and chinese aka kung fu). or do you get all your information about martial arts from youtube? any other questions or smartass comments you need addressed?

Well no crap... but I can reconize boxing, and I can reconize Karate MuayThai, Kung fu, all these fighting styles are different fighting styles, that's why they have different names, they are a system. This just looks like a bunch of people from different systems doing what they know. It looks nothing the same... not even the same concepts of theorys put into use.

the emphasis of kajukenbo isn't to move like robots. it's creativity of using learned techniques as the situation presents itself.

Is this the start of Kajukenbo??? Because it looks like some people come from kung fu and others from more like Karate and the other people I dont know. I know Kajukenbo is a huge mix, but it just looks like the little guy in the black is getting his power from hits different, like Kung fu. They all just fight so differently, looks kinda weird, like they arnt doing the same style.

Do you know where that film footage is taken?

Is that from the Community Center at Travis Air Force Base?

It looks familiar to me, for I did visit the community center back in 1969 and 1970 while stationed there. Alan Reyes, Aleju's son, taught there. I understood that Aleju taught there before Alan Reyes did.

I don't believe I ever met Master Al Reyes Senior.
