myoclonus jerking of her right leg

she has had an MRI that turned out normal even tho they found a small lesion in her L1, Her EEG was normal and now they are doing an EMG, and nerve conduction test. Medicine has not helped at all

My 3 children (16, 14, & 8) and I have something similar and so I have done a large amount of research. You might want to look into myoclonus seizures. (don't always show in EEGs) Perhaps myotonia will also be good to look up. My right side started jerking at 14 occasionally and frequently at 25. It took forever but good doctors are worth their weight in gold. I wish you guys luck and happiness.

July 2009 she was placed in the hospital for jerking of her right leg, after 4 days of observation they released her with physical therapy. after a few months she was back to herself. Nov. 20th 2010 the jerking came back. this time it has not stopped. She was re-admitted and has now been diagnosed with having Myoclonus. They have her on several medications however non of them are working. her muscles are completely contracted. We are waiting to go to the childrens hospital for testing again.
