UP 8106 Departs Dunsmuir with a Southbound Manifest

EMD SD90/43MAC #8106 and EMD SD70M's #4988 & #3866 lead this southbound 73-car QPTRV manifest out of Dunsmuir, California on September 13, 2009 at 11:12 AM, shortly after being recrewed here. EMD SD90/43MAC #8045 serves as a rear DPU. We will catch this train at Red Bluff later in the day.

I was in Dunsmuir in about 1993 and stopped at the caboose motel for lunch. They had an old Dining car for the restaurant and it was really neat. Food was good too as I recall. Everything was still SP at that time. Fantastic area, nice video. We need to be getting all the footage we can of the SD9043s before they disappear for good.
