When my siblings and I were very young, we were exposed to really great singers of the time-in the fifty's, and our father was in the war, of course-so we, as kids got to hear these terrific singers; like Jane Froman-she was so awesome, not only a great singer, but a really good person.

If you treasure the music of Jane Froman, and appreciate this video as I do, you will find other treasures in the DVD of Milton Berle's Buick Hour, Volume Four: Get Happy" and "This Can't Be Love" feature Jane. Date, I think, 2/2 54).

This is so, so great! Can't thank you enough, VX2! It seems (as I search the internet and You Tube, that you, alone, have access/ability/willingness (?) to post Jane Froman,..performing as herself. I would be so
grateful for any more of her "live" performances that you can/will share.
Thank you for those you have given us!!!!!!!!!!!

I watch WASIMH often - love the music and am moved deeply by the Froman story. However, great as this number is in the film, the image I now have of Jane Froman herself singing this song, whenever I see it on film or hear it on record, enriches it - exponentially - for me ! Thank you for this gift!

It is interesting: in the classic movie "With a Song in my Heart" all the glory went to Susan Hayward, but the interpreter was Jane Froman... ¡Mrs. Hayward was dubbing, pretending she was singing...!

Janie knew how to sell a song. She actually had an operatic voice but used it brilliantly to do pop. The pride of Columbia, Missouri.
-
She definitely had a great voice. And her performance is all the more amazing, considering the physical hardships she went thru. Amazing, and courageous.

She was just awesome. Thank you for sharing this clip with all of us.
