Jonas Love Story ch. 19

Chapter 19
Jojo knew she could’ve just ran out of there, but she wanted to make Nick proud, whatever happened. When Miley closed the door and turned on the lights, she knew she was in for it. Standing in front of her, next to Miley, was her ex, Jake, and Mandy (Miley’s best friend).
Jojo- What is going on?
Miley- Like I said, I need to talk to you
Jojo- about what? Why are they here?
Jojo sounded angry, but Miley sounded furious
Miley- Listen Jojo, Nick is mine, and you better get over it
Jojo- but we’re going out?
Miley- not anymore
Jojo wanted to sound strong, but she couldn’t help stuttering in fear
Jojo- wh-what do you mean
Miley- that’s right, I want you to break up with Nick
Jojo- NO!
Mandy stepped up and punched Jojo right in the eye. Jojo fell to the floor and started crying
Jojo- what was that for?
Miley- that’s what’s gonna happen to Nick… if you don’t break up with him
Jojo- you wouldn’t!?
Miley- you’d be surprised
Jojo was balling by now
Jojo- what do you want me to do?
Miley- I want you to break up with him through letter, so he can’t tell you’re lying. Then, I want you to go back out with Jake, so he KNOWS it’s over between you two
Mandy punched her again on the shoulder and across the face
Miley- remember, that’s what’ll happen to Nick
Jojo- OK! I’ll do it, please don’t hurt Nick!
Miley- good……………..NOW GO!
Jojo ran out the door to the pool. She had to go home before the bruises started coming up. She ran over to the table where Kevin, Joe, Nick, Maggie, and Katie were sitting. She had made sure to wipe off her tears before she went to the table. She grabbed her stuff and Nick pulled her aside.
Nick- hey
Jojo- listen Nick, my mom just called and she needs me home to talk to her on the phone, something happened in Chicago
Nick- Is everything all right?
Jojo- yea, but I really have to go
Nick- how did it go with Miley?
Jojo- fine
Nick- that’s good, but baby
Jojo- yea…
Nick- I love you…
When he said those words, he looked strait in her eyes and just said it. It hurt so much that she found some one she loved, but had to give him up for his own sake. It hurt so much; she couldn’t repeat the same words to him. All she could say was a meek “me too” then she ran home, crying the whole way. When she got home she immediately sat down and wrote the letter she was forced to write.
Meanwhile at the pool… Nick walked back over to the table and sat down. Everyone else had heard the whole conversation
Nick- I hope everything’s all right
Kevin- me too
Katie- Jojo’s parents don’t live in Chicago
Nick- I bet there’s some reason
Maggie- this is no fun without Jojo
Katie- yea, let’s just go home
They walked home and both families went their ways. When Nick, Kevin, and Joe walked in their door, Kevin reminded Nick to go get the mail. Nick walked out to the mailbox and grabbed the mail. He walked back inside and went through it:
Kevin’s
Joe’s
Junk
Bill’s
Paper
Kevin’s
When he came to the last of the list, he saw the letter from Jojo
Sorry I didn’t update
My internet wouldn’t work
I am soooooooooooo excited!
I got a guitar!
YAY
I practically taught myself how to play it.
