May 23 - U.S. warships moved off the Gulf of Iran Wednesday, a development which could very likely add to already high gas prices in the U.S.

U.S. retail gasoline prices hit a record high for the second week in a row last week, matching the inflation-adjusted peak reached in the early 1980s during the Iran-Iraq war. The average price for regular unleaded gas soared 11.5 cents to a record $3.22 a gallon.Jeanne Yurman reports from New York.

  • And it's happening again. We need to use less until prices come back under control.

  • Who gives a flying rats ass.

  • wrong, as long as it is the most economically viable resource, we will seek to use oil. that's how a free market and economics works.

  • yeah that hott guy was snacking

  • Yoga, your wrong. As long as BILLIONS can be made, we will always seek to buy oil.

  • The day will come when the Saudis will plea to America to purchase more oil. Our president will inform them that combustible fuel is no longer needed. I'm guessing around.....year 2050?

  • Why not subvert the control these energy cartels have over your life!?! This is not spam, merely someone spreading the word. You can install a very low budget hydrogen fuel cell on your petrol engine and acheive between 40 and 60 percent improvement in MPG! This from a cheap home made system. There are many videos on youtube, and many people selling their kits. Check it out!

  • You people complain

    too much.

    Dick Cheney says we

are just in a "rough patch"...you

    people need to

believe him and stop this baffoonery.

  • If they were complaining about oil prices at 60 or 70 dollars.Imagine the case now where its 30 or 40 dollars more what would they say now.

  • with all the food riots going on in the world right now.. I don't think it's agood time to be turning our food into fuel either tho..
