@iExD Sorry to disappoint you but Asus VX6 does NOT have an optical drive.

@kdskamal Thank you for the reply. Btw, I have heard of M11x but my only issue with it is the price, size, and the lack of a optical ddrive which might come in handy. I do know of external but it's a big hassle. I'll just wait for the VX7 that's coming out later this year. If it's over 1000 usd, I'll just settle for a Dell XPS 15.

@iExD I would not recommend it using it for college as netbooks are more like companion computers. But it all depends on the needs. For example: I own like 6 netbooks and use them just like my full computers as I don't have special needs like you. Photoshop CS5 runs like a charm and same goes for Dreamweaver, but don't expect it to replace your gaming rig.
My Advice - get the Alienware M11x. It will run games too.

I can only be convinced into using this for my future 4 years of college if and only if the vx7 is too expensive and if the windows 7 OS is 64 bit which is not in this case. Thus 4 gb ram becomes 3 gb instead which is a major flaw. Other than that, I hate the small screen size but everything else is okay. By the way, can you run photoshop, dreamweaver, and DRIFT CITY OR OTHER RACING GAMES on it please? I need it to be able to handle racing games.

I've never had hands on experience with a dual core atom and nvidia ion. and im looking for a new laptop, will this be usable and managable as a main laptop
