A very interesting annotated video (no audio) courtesy of ESA TV showing the critical steps taking place now that ATV-2 is in orbit. The video covers the 8-day period from launch on 16 February 2011 up to docking, scheduled this week on 24 February 2011.

  • My son and I actually spotted it flying nearly overhead (of CT USA) the evening before it docked with ISS. We were standing in the midlle of a McDonalds parking lot, yet were still able to pick it out bewtween the stars. Of course it helped that I knew when and where to look for it... thanks to heavens-above(dot)com
